Spring Cypress Stingrays Swim Team

Susan is a 5th year Stingrays Board Member, serving one year as Volunteer Coordinator and entering her fourth year as President.  Susan has two sons, Trey and Jacob, and joined the team in 2018.  She has been a Longwood resident since 2005 and is an Attorney in Texas. 

Amber is serving her first year as Vice President for the Spring Cypress Stingrays. She is a homeschool mom of three swimmers, Liam (16), Ben (12), and Abbey (8). Amber has spent over 20 summers on swim team in some capacity, as either a swimmer, coach, or mom. She has a deep love for the sport and is looking forward to supporting the Stingrays by helping to create a fun and memorable season for all swimmers.

Colette joins the board for her second year serving as Secretary. Her daughter Niya is twelve years old and will be a third year Stingray. The family has been participating in club and summer league swimming for many years. Colette has four children, is a homeschool mom and a client database manager.

Melissa Jungeblut is serving her third year as Treasurer. This upcoming season will be her family’s 6th summer swimming. She is the mom of two Stingrays, Abigail and Madelyn, 5th grade and 2nd at Covenant Academy. Melissa volunteered as tent parent and concessions setup over the years. Melissa’s family has lived in Longwood for 11 years and is a CPA.

Jason LaPres is a first-year board member serving as the NWAL Team Representative. Jason and his wife Leslie have three children, Brady and Tori, who are grown, and Brooke, an 11‑year‑old Stingrays swimmer. This is the family’s fourth year with the Stingrays. Jason and Brooke are also involved in USA club swimming with FLEET. Jason brings experience in leadership and is dedicated to supporting strong communication and a positive competitive experience for Stingrays families. Jason works as a Dean of Instruction at Lone Star College-CyFair. 

Hi everyone! I’m excited to serve as the volunteer coordinator for the swim team this season. I have two young kids, Edith, 5 and Elise, 2. Our family truly believes in everything this team offers—from building confidence and friendships to creating a fun, supportive community for our kids. I’m grateful for the chance to give back and help make this a great experience for all our families. Looking forward to working with you all!

Kady is a newly joined board member, serving her as the Registrar this year. Kady has two swimmers, Tucker, 3^rd grade, and Hattie, 1^st grade, and this year is their family’s fourth year as a Summer League Stingray. Kady volunteered in previous years as tent parent as well as in the concession stand prior to joining the board. Her and her family have resided in Lakewood Glen since 2021 and she is a Finance Manager.

Jason is in his third year as a Stingray Board Member. Jason and his family have been active with the Stingrays since 2017. The Stefanicks have three swimmers competing, Saylor, Jack, and Hope. Jason’s wife Carrie is the reason why he decided to take on board membership. Carrie can also be found officiating many of the Saturday meets and is the Invitationals Lead. Jason is a Rock Creek resident and a Sales Manager for his employer.
