SCST at The Woodlands Volunteer Information

Many families are out of town this weekend. There are several 2nd shift positions that we need filled. Because we have fewer swimmers than usual, the meet is anticipated to end close to 1:30. Please consider staying to volunteer for a second shift. Thank you!
Below is some information that you will need for this week’s meet. Anything in red is an alert that we need someone to fill a spot. Please email [email protected] to volunteer.
- ALL VOLUNTEERS: Tent set up, shift 1, shift 2 and tent break down, check in at the Volunteer table by 7:00 am.
- ALL SWIMMERS: Check in at your tent by 7:00 am. Warm-ups for the Stingrays are TBD. We need to be ready.
- ALL PARENTS: Please make sure your swimmer knows who their tent parent is before you leave them and that they know not to leave without their tent parent knowing. Once your swimmer is finished for the day please do not leave without checking out with your child’s tent parent.
- ALL PARENTS: Please call or text Coach Elise (832-971-8494) if you have a sick swimmer and will be unable to attend. Please also call or text the Volunteer Coordinator, Holly Eubanks, (832-540-0352) if you will be unable to attend a meet.
- ROADIES: Arrive at 6:30 am. Parents will be there at 6:30 to assist with tent set-up. Thank you!
- TENT SET UP Swimmer’s last name begins with K or P. Tent set up begins at 6:30 am. MANY FAMILIES ARE OUT OF TOWN THIS WEEKEND. IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO HELP WITH TENTS, EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT YOUR SHIFT, IT IS APPRECIATED. (If you cannot fulfill this commitment please switch with another family.)
- TENT PARENTS: Report to your tent no later than 6:50 am. Your Head Tent Parent, Ernie Rodriguez, will give you a clipboard with your age group swimmer list and a sharpie. Please check that all swimmers are accounted for and notify Ernie if anyone is missing. Mark your swimmer’s arms using the sharpie for their individual swimming events. When events for your age group are called please put the swimmers that are in that event in order and walk them to the ready bench. Be ready to receive them at the end of their event and walk them back to the tent. For detailed instructions go to http://bit.ly/2pFN1oK. - TIMERS & SCRIBES: Listen for an announcement for your meeting close to 8am. (2nd Shift Volunteers Needed!)
- OFFICIALS: Listen for an announcement for your meeting close to 8am.
- COMPUTERS: Report to the computer area after checking yourself and your swimmer in and wait for instructions.
- READY BENCH: (2nd Shift Volunteers Needed!)
- TENT BREAK DOWN: Swimmer’s last name begins with S. (If you cannot fulfill this commitment please switch with another family.)
