Sunday Update - Week 2

Lots of important information below, including a note from our coaches, so please read all the way through.

PRACTICE TIMES & AGE GROUP

4:00 - 5:00 pm 15 & Up & 13/14

5:00 - 5:30 pm 6 & Unders

5:40 - 6:20 pm 7/8

6:30 - 7:15 pm 9/10

7:15 - 8:00 pm 11/12 & 13/14

On your way into the pool, be sure to stop by the lifeguard station to sign-in your swimmer before each practice. If you have not done so please drop off your volunteer check made payable to Spring Cypress Swim Team for $300. These will only be cashed if your volunteer requirements are not met at the end of the season.

PLEASE NOTE: The Deadline for volunteer checks is May 5th. If your check is not received by that date your child will not be able to swim.

PRACTICE PARKING/DROP OFF

Please visit https://scst.swimtopia.com/parking-and-pool-map for parking maps. This is for both Practice and Meets. We want to respect the neighborhood and the neighbors that support our swim team. All street parking is one side only, please do not block driveways, and NO PARKING on Longwood Bend at any time.
As many of you with slightly older swimmers that will be dropping off your swimmers, notice the entry and exit for the pool area. Please just be respectful and cautious; there are a lot of littles very excited to run to the pool.
We have noticed people using the wrong entry when driving into the parking lot. Please be aware of the signs for exit and entry.

This week we will have Sharkey’s at the pool serving sno cones!!

PARKING RAFFLE

Help us raise money to fund new starting blocks and enter for a chance to win 1 of 4 reserved parking spots in the parking lot during ALL home meets this season!

Prize: Reserved parking spot at 2023 home meets Price: $10 per entry
How: Send $10 to the Stingrays Venmo @scst-stingrays with your name and "RAFFLE" in the notes section. If you are unable to pay via Venmo and would still like to enter the raffle, contact Lacey Picariello at [email protected] to pay with cash
When: All raffle entries must be received by Thursday, May 4. Winners will be announced Friday, May 5 and contacted via email or phone.

COACHES CORNER

Hi Stingrays, Our first week of practice was a success! We loved meeting new faces and seeing familiar faces on the pool deck and in the water.

This week we will continue to introduce each of the 4 strokes to 7 and ups, and teaching our 6 and unders freestyle and Backstroke.
If you have not done so please send a clear head shot of your swimmer(s) to [email protected], and join our Remind 101 by texting @2023sting to 81010.
We will begin leveling out practices. I will send an email requesting the move within the next two weeks.
Please remember that the baby pool and shallow area by the parent area are off limits during practices.
