Hello, Stingrays!

I hope all of you have had an opportunity to rest a little this week, with the season put to bed already for a long winter's nap.

Before we move on completely, though, I wanted to say thank you for hanging in there through this season. At the team meeting in April, I asked you all to make Divisionals a priority, and you ROCK! Congratulations to every one of you on winning your Division--together. And you did more than I asked--you finished well at Ponderosa and Red, White and Blue. Our swimmers at RWB earned 4th place overall in the largest team division (yes 4th out of all 36 teams in the meet). Special congratulations go to Juli Cavalcanti and Josh Green as girls' and boys' high point winners for 7-year-olds, to Al Gonzales for 2nd place for 13-year-olds, and to Lucas Overbey for first place in the men's 17-18 year group.

At Ponderosa, our team placed 7th, an amazing finish after being upgraded in category from Tier 3 last year to Tier 1 this year against the biggest teams in NWAL (yes, 7th out of 73 total teams). I am very proud of our team finish and also of Sally Acosta, who was ranked 3rd overall for her age group (15 - 18) at Ponderosa. Other top eight finishes included:
