Good morning Stingrays!  Just passing along some important information regarding the upcoming Summer Thunder invitational this weekend.  Upon arrival at the high school, we will be setting up inside the Klein High School cafeteria.  We should all try to sit together as a team.  It is recommended that you arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your child’s warm up time.  Please check in with me (Brian Smoker) when you arrive so I can make sure all the swimmers are accounted for.  If you have a sick swimmer and will not be able to make the meet, please send a text to Coach Elise  832-971-8494

 

*Sunday, June 4th (warm ups 12:00 – 12:15, meet timeline 1:00 – 8:20). 

 

Please be aware that at invitational meets you are responsible for your swimmer and their ready bench arrival; try to sit near your age group swimmers to ensure that you make each event on time. 

 

Also, The host club, PACK, has asked that we provide timers on Sunday.  Our team will need to cover one chair in Lane 4 throughout the duration of the meet on Sunday.  The following are the approximate times of the 5 timing shifts available:

 

Shift 1: 1:00-2:30

Shift 2: 2:30-4:00

Shift 3: 4:00-5:30

Shift 4: 5:30-7:00

Shift 5: 7:00-8:20 (OR UNTIL THE MEET HAS ENDED)

 

Please go to the Volunteer icon for the Summer Thunder event on the home page & sign up for the session you would like to time for. (Available later today, please check back if you do not see it)

 

*Monday, June 5th (warm ups 4:15-4:30, meet timeline 5:00 – 10:35)

 

We currently do not have to cover timing lanes for Monday.  However, PACK has requested we have timers ready “as needed” (basically for back up purposes).  If you will be attending the meet on Monday and would be available to be a timer if requested by PACK as a fill in, please email me or touch base with me at the Shenandoah meet with your information.
