MESSAGE FROM COACH ELISE: Stingrays, I am very proud of each of you who competed Saturday for our meet against the Woodland Waves. In general, we were more focused, more prepared, and had better technique than just a week ago. For example, in the 7/8 age group, we reduced our DQs from 31 last week to 14 this week. Let's keep that trend and have 0 next week! It was certainly nice to have lines on the bottom of the pool! While we did not win the meet, we had lots of winners, including 5 triple-winners: Congratulations to Darryl Fontenette, Sophia Luper, Emma Ruland, Mary Ruland, and Ella Smoker for wins in all three of their individual events. Also, some of our youngest Stingrays dropped amazing amounts of time: In freestyle, Caroline Milano dropped 18 seconds, Emmerson Daigle shaved 24, and Grayson Elliott cut 51 seconds. In backstroke, Kendall Robinson cut 11 seconds, Emmy Daigle dropped 14, Drew Erwin cut 19, Caroline Milano shaved 22, and Grayson Elliott dropped 57 seconds. Congratulations to all our swimmers who shaved time this weekend off their personal bests!
