Hello Stingray families....There is still time to sign up for Summer Thunder Invitationals.  The event is a fun, extracurricular meet & is open to swimmers who qualify.  We'd love to have as many swimmers as possible to represent our team and there is still time to declare your swimmer by this afternoon.  Summer Thunder will take place on June 5 & 6, 2016 and will be held at the Klein High School pool. 

   In order to declare your swimmer for this Invitational, you declare the same way you do for a regular meet (meet entry icon for Summer Thunder).  For swimmers age 13 and up, there are no qualifying time standards.  For swimmers 12 and under, they must meet qualifying times.  Once you have opened the meet entry form, select your swimmer.  When viewing the possible events for your swimmer, the qualifying times for Summer Thunder should be displayed next to your child's best time.  Choose the events he/she is qualified for and would like to swim.

  If your swimmer does not have a qualifying time for Summer Thunder, but is close, he/she can still qualify at the Oak Ridge meet tomorrow.  If this is the case, please let myself or Coach Elise know of this situation so we can keep an eye on your swimmer's times tomorrow so Coach Elise can get them entered into the system by Saturday evening.

  There are fees associated with Summer Thunder, as individual events are $5 per event.  The Stingrays will pay for relay events.  When declaring your swimmer and selecting their events, the event fees will total up for you on the page, as well as be documented in your Parent page-Accounts Payable section of the website.   We are requesting that families submit payment for their Summer Thunder events with checks payable to SCST.  We are asking that checks be turned in by next Tuesday's practice (May 31).   Checks can either be placed in my family folder (Ruland) during practice or given to me personally.  I will be set up tomorrow also at the Oak Ridge meet, next to the Volunteer sign in table, if you have any questions regarding the Invitational, are submitting a check for your events, etc.
